I can’t believe how fast this summer is going!  My time in Ukraine is over and I’m in Germany now!  Pretty soon I’ll be back home and when I get there I’m excited to say that I have a new project up my sleeve… my bedroom!  - yes, that special haven room where I spend roughly 2,920 hours a year. Like many California living spaces, in addition to minimal space, the window, closet and door placements add an extra dimension of functional design. Perhaps these reasons were why I’ve put this project off for so long … But I’ve changed my mind and am now ready to make this room the peaceful, clean, sanctuary I believe all bedrooms should be.

Here are a couple of “before” pictures – notice the nonsymmetrical window, tighter quarters, and minimal lighting.

I stumbled across these wooden flowers at the market in Lviv a few days ago and I can’t wait to use this fresh inspiration to brighten and update my room.
